Going Home

The Going Home hat is the playful, quick knit that I needed as a palate cleanser after a big project. Knit in plump aran weight yarn with bobbles and simple cables, Going Home is as fun to knit as it is to wear.

Size 
Finished Circumference: 17” 
Fits an adult head size 21”-23” 
Intended to be worn close fitting, with 4-6” of negative ease from actual head size.

Yarn 
Once Upon A Corgi, ‘Cecil’ 
100% Superwash BFL 
181 yds per 100g 
Shown in color “Ravishing” 
or 150 yds of a similar, aran weight yarn

Needles 
US 7 / 4.5 mm or size needed to get gauge, 16” circular needle and DPN’s or longer circular needle for working decreases using magic loop 

US 5 / 3.75 mm or two sizes smaller than needle used to get gauge 16” circular needle for ribbing

Notions 

  • Removable stitch markers

  • Cable needle tapestry needle

Gauge 
Using US 7 / 4.5 mm needle, 19 sts and 24 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette, knit in the round, after blocking
