Hoya

Hoya was inspired by the Hoya plant, which begins as a single heart-shaped leaf and grows into a beautiful trailing vine. This hat is available in both a beanie (modeled) and slouch version with a folded brim.

Finished Size

Beanie (Slouch): 20.5 (22.25)” [52 (56.5) cm] un-stretched finished circumference, 8.75 (11.75)” [22 (30) cm] height

Yarn

Hudson + West Co. Weld (70% US Merino / 30% US Corriedale, 200 yds [183 m]; 1.76 oz [50 g]):

(MC) Midnight (navy) 1 (2) skein(s)

(CC) Lake (demin blue), 1 (1) skein

Needles

Size A (for body): US 4 [3.5 mm]: 16” [40 cm] circular needle and DPNs or longer circular needle for magic loop.

Size B (for ribbing): US 3 [3.25 mm]: 16” [40 cm] circular needle.

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Tapestry needle, three removable stitch markers, one beginning of round marker

28 sts and 29 rnds =  4” [10 cm] in colorwork pattern on Size A needle
