Wingate
Wingate is a richly textured hat with styling options to suit everyone’s taste. Choose from a single or double brim and beanie style or taller classic toque. Wingate is gender neutral and available in three adult sizes.
Knit in worsted weight yarn, Wingate is an ideal gift knitting project. Several of my test knitters knit two just in the first two weeks of our test knitting period!
I knit two Wingate hats, both with Brooklyn Tweed Ranch 02: Forbes. This Rambouillet yarn is plump and round, perfect for cables and making twisted stitches “pop”. My husband prefers a close fitting hat, so he got a single brim, beanie style hat in the large size. For myself, I knit the double brim, taller version in the medium size.
